Ohio History Center, Columbus, Ohio Volksfest 33 Wrap Up By Mark and Debi Garrett Time to wrap up Volksfest 33! From the post card perfect (dare I say almost chilly?!) weather, to the packed vender area, to the nonstop spectator gate, to the most amazing collection of Volkswagen vehicles; this year's show is one for the record books! The new location was well received by everyone I talked to, and there were no major issues with the first-year location. The quality level of the show cars this year was breathtaking, with many never-before-seen cars making the scene. The vender area was packed from one end to the other and appeared to be doing a brisk business all day long. And oh, that spectator gate! From 9am on there was a constant stream of folks coming to check out the best one-day vintage VW show in Ohio. I had a brief review of the show with our contact at The Ohio History Center as things were wrapping up, and she was very impressed with our club and how well organized we were. I will meet with her in a few weeks to do a final review and start planning for Volksfest 34. A BIG thank you to all the wonderful COVVC volunteers that made this a show to remember.
